[origin: WO8911360A1] Device for mounting wire rings on wire hoods for securing bottle closures, said wire hoods consisting of legs with preformed hooks projecting from a supporting plane, wire rings being inserted and clamped in said hooks. a) A plurality of holding devices (2) are arranged on the periphery of a circular rotary table (1) and can be moved in stages to a transfer station (8) for the wire rings (3) and then to a feed device (7) for the hoods (4). b) The holding devices (2) have recesses (5) for receiving hoods (4) fed by said feed device and, on the outer edge (28) facing the feed device (7), holding elements (16) for the wire rings (3) and recesses (14) for the hooks (11), the edge (28) having a slightly smaller diameter than the round part of the wire ring (3). c) A bending device (10) to which the hoods (4) together with the wire rings (3) inserted in their hooks (11) can be brought by a punch (12) is arranged between the feed device (7) for the hoods (4) and an ejector (9), outwith the rotary table. d) The centreline of the bending device (10) is parallel to the punch (12), can be advanced to the rotary table (1) and has jaws (25) directed to the hooks (11).
