[origin: EP0369196A2] The invention relates to an ultrasonic treatment device with a treatment head (1), which consists essentially of a housing (2) and an electromechanical oscillation transducer (3) arranged therein, and with an electrical line (6) introduced into the housing (2) of the treatment head (1) in an insulated and outwardly sealed manner. In order to improve such an ultrasonic treatment device so that the presence of a therapist guiding the treatment head is generally not necessary when the device is used, it is proposed according to the invention that the treatment head should be arranged on a support coil holding it, and at least that part of the housing bearing the oscillation transducer should be pivotable relative to that end piece of the support coil bearing the treatment head, by a limited angular range. <IMAGE>
