The invention relates to a belt buckle which ensures a trouble-free, safe-to-handle asignment of individual belt buckle elements and is easy to open. According to the invention, the belt buckle comprises a buckle housing (1) and a tongue part (4), on which a buckle tongue (3) is longitudinally displaceably guided. The buckle tongue (3) is retracted into the tongue part (4) in the loosened state of the belt buckle by means of a prestressed element and can be pushed out of the tongue part (4) when the tongue part (4) bears against the buckle housing (1), by displacement of an actuating element (5). The belt buckle according to the invention can be used in all types of restraining systems, in particular for child seats. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Gurtschloß, welches eine fehlerfreie, manipulationssichere Zuordnung einzelner Gurtschloßelemente sicherstellt und leicht zu öffnen ist. Erfindungsgemäß umfaßt das Gurtschloß ein Schloßgehäuse (1) sowie ein Zungenteil (4), an welchem eine Schloßzunge (3) längsverschiebbar geführt ist. Die Schloßzunge (3) wird durch ein Vorspannelement im gelösten Zustand des Gurtschlosses in das Zungenteil (4) zurückgezogen und kann bei Anlage des Zungenteils (4) an das Schloßgehäuse (1) durch Verschiebung eines Betätigungselementes (5) aus dem Zungenteil (4) herausgeschoben werden. Das erfindungsgemäße Gurtschloß ist bei allen Arten von Rückhaltesystemen, insbesondere für Kindersitze, verwendbar.
