[origin: EP0369399A2] The invention relates to a wind sifter having a rotary sifting wheel (1 to 3) towards which the sifting air laden with fine material flows, radially from outside inwards counter to centrifugal force, and away from which this sifting air flows axially through an outlet pipe (5, 6, 18), and which has a downstream-side cover plate (1), a second cover plate (2) arranged axially offset with respect to it and blades (3) arranged in between at the periphery. It is an object of the invention that the outlet pipe (5, 6, 18) having an immersion tube portion (5, 6) is led into the downstream-side cover plate (1) and is connected to the latter in such a way as to be fixed in terms of rotation. In this arrangement, the outlet pipe (5, 6, 18) preferably has a portion (5) in which the cross-section of the immersion tube widens constantly. With a corresponding design of the second coverplate (2), the sifting wheel can simultaneously serve for comminuting material.
