Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a packaging block. It also relates to a package using such a block and a method of packaging which exploits all the possibilities of such equipment. It finds application in all fields of packaging in boxes or in packaging under heat-retractable plastic film. According to the invention, the packaging block is intended to be interposed between a package and a product to be packaged, and it is produced by cutting out from an elongate band (8) of a thick sheet material with given damping characteristics, which is then fashioned so as to surround, at least partially in one cutting plane, the product (2) to be packaged, constituting first portions, of which at least one is in the form of a box, first portions at a distance from the product which come into contact with the inside of the package and second portions (9-11) which connect the first portions (4-7) to one another. <IMAGE>

La présente invention concerne une cale de conditionnement. Elle concerne aussi un emballage utilisant une telle cale et un procédé de conditionnement qui exploite toutes les possibilités d'un tel matériel. Elle trouve application à tout domaine d'emballage en caisse ou en conditionnement sous film plastique thermorétractable. Selon l'invention, la cale de conditionnement est destinée à venir s'interposer entre un emballage et un produit à emballer, elle est réalisée par découpage d'une bande allongée (8) d'un matériau en feuille épaisse de caractéristiques d'amortissement données, qui est ensuite façonnée de façon à entourer au moins partiellement dans un plan de coupe le produit (2) à conditionner, en constituant des premières portions dont au moins une est sous forme d'un caisson, premières portions éloignées du produit qui viennent en contact avec l'intérieur de l'emballage et des secondes portions (9-11) qui raccordent les premières portions (4-7) entre elles.
