The invention relates to a manipulator arm (12) for a public works machine, comprising two beams (17, 18) of equal lengths and a cradle which are articulated end to end. The drive beam (17) is articulated at its front end (17a) on the chassis (25) of the carrier machine (15) and the cradle (21) is driven by the rotational movement of the drive beam (17) with the aid of toothed wheels (30, 31, 32, 33) and chains (34, 35) designed and disposed in a manner such that the cradle (21) undergoes a rectilinear translational movement and retains a predetermined direction. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un bras manipulateur (12) pour un engin de travaux publics comportant deux poutres (17,18) de longueurs égales et un berceau articulés bout à bout. La poutre motrice (17) est articulée à son extrémité avant (17a) sur le châssis (25) de l'engin porteur (15) et le berceau (21) est entraînée par le mouvement de rotation de la poutre motrice (17) à l'aide de roues dentées (30,31,32,33) et de chaînes (34,35) conçues et disposées de telle manière que le berceau (21) subit un mouvement de translation rectiligne et conserve une direction prédéterminée.
