Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8900221A1] A balcony floor is made up of a plurality of equally long, horizontal sectional floor elements (1, 2, 3, 4) of steel sheet, which are arranged side by side and welded to each other, and of a horizontal sectional end element (6) of steel sheet which is disposed at each end of the sectional floor elements (1-4), extends at right angles to the sectional floor elements and has a vertical web portion (6a) which engages and is welded to the ends of the sectional floor elements. Each of the intermediate sectional floor elements (2, 3) and one (4) of the outer two sectional floor elements (1, 4) have at the side edge facing the other outer sectional floor element (1), a downwardly bent floor element-stiffening flange (2a, 3a, 4a) forming a recess for receiving a part of the horizontal portion of the adjacent sectional floor element (1, 2, 3) and also serving to stiffen the web portion (6a) of the sectional end element (6). The web portion of one sectional end element supports balcony railing attachments which are located substantially opposite a respective downwardly bent floor element-stiffening flange (2a, 4a).
