[origin: EP0370223A2] A bus 3 which has an analog component 10 and a digital component 9 is provided between a control unit 1 and peripheral units 2, preferably in a rotary printing press. The peripheral units 2 connect to the databus 3 via fixed plug-in connections 11. Control information is transmitted into a peripheral unit by means of a write signal. The transmission of analog signals from the peripheral control units 2 to the control unit 1 occurs in each case when the digital address and control signals at the digital component 9 are in a steady state. The measurement of the analog values is then initiated. <IMAGE>
