Abstract (en)
The hitherto conventional cigarette packs, especially with a hinge-lid box (10), an inner blank (29) made of tin foil and, if appropriate, an outer wrapping made of plastic film, are unsuitable for the disposal of smoked cigarettes (waste cigarettes 48). It is considered a disadvantage, however, that smoked cigarettes are disposed of individually. This applies particularly to "artificial cigarettes" recently brought onto the market. For improved waste disposal, the existing cigarette pack, especially of the hinge-lid type (10), is equipped with a waste chamber (47) for receiving waste cigarettes (48). Part of the inner blank (28), namely the rear wall (30), forms a partition wall between the waste chamber (46) and a cigarette chamber (47). The smoked cigarettes are reintroduced into the pack via an insertion orifice (54). The dimensions and design of the cigarette pack are virtually unchanged in relation to those of conventional cigarette packs. The possibility of eliminating the cigarette pack, together with all the smoked cigarettes, as a single unit is nevertheless afforded. <IMAGE>

Die bisher üblichen Zigaretten-Packungen, insbesondere mit einer Klappschachtel (10), einem Innenzuschnitt (29) aus Stanniol und ggf. einer Außenumhüllung aus Kunststoffolie sind für die Beseitigung abgerauchter Zigaretten (Abfall-Zigaretten 48) ungünstig. Es wird aber als Nachteil empfunden, daß abgerauchte Zigaretten einzelnd weggeworfen werden. Dies gilt besonders für neuerdings auf den Markt gebrachte "Kunstzigaretten". Für eine verbesserte Abfallbeseitung ist die vorliegende Zigaretten-Packung, insbesondere in der Ausführung mit Klappschachtel (10) mit einer Abfall-Kammer (47) für die Aufnahme von Abfall-Zigaretten (48) versehen. Ein Teil des Innenzuschnitts (28), nämlich die Rückwand (30), bildet eine Trennwand zwischen der Ab fall-Kammer (47) und einer Zigaretten-Kammer (46). Die abgerauchten Zigaretten werden über eine Einstecköffnung (54) wieder in die Packung eingeführt. Die Zigaretten-Packung ist in den Abmessungen und in der Gestaltung gegenüber herkömmlichen Zigaretten-Packungen praktisch unverändert. Gleichwohl wird die Möglichkeit gegeben, die Zigaretten-Packung mit allen abgerauchten Zigaretten als Einheit zu beseitigen.
