Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0370314A2] A mobile antenna assembly has a telescopic supporting mast, associated with which are front and rear arms designed as a two-part supporting structure which can be brought into an optimum support position from a transport position keeping within the dimensions of a container. For this, the section of the arm bearing the support cylinder is pivotable by means of a horizontally arranged joint in relation to the section connected to the basic frame. In this arrangement, retraction is by means of the bracing wire which is guided in a wire pulley, which is arranged on the section like a pendulum and forms the top end of the support cylinder or of the section, while extension is effected under own weight. During extension, the section is guided by the bracing wire which also runs out. The pivoting out of the arms is effected by means of radius struts, with which hydraulic cylinders are associated, which at the same time ensure that the necessary service walkways are also extended or folded out. The procedure is reversed for folding in, the section of the arms bearing the support cylinder being, as already mentioned, also folded in by means of the bracing wire and then secured. <IMAGE>
