The present invention relates to a hammer mill for the shredding of metal articles, which consist essentially of hammers (1) mounted on a drive drum (2) arranged in a crushing enclosure (3) equipped with riddling walls (4 and 5) in the lower part and upper part and of a feed device (6) with crossing drums (7, 8), characterised in that it has an upper central feed (12), in that it is equipped, furthermore, with two covers (9) mounted pivotably on the frame (10) of the mill and delimiting the central feed entrance (12) of the mill on the opposite side to their opposite axle (11), in that the drum (2) driving the hammers (1) is driven in the two directions of rotation, and in that the feed device (6) with crossing drums (7, 8) is mounted pivotably on one of the pivoting covers (9) or on the lower frame of the mill so as to be displaceable in the space delimited between the covers (9). <IMAGE>

La présente invention concerne un broyeur à marteaux pour le déchiquetage d'objets métalliques, essentiellement constitué par des marteaux (1) montés sur un tambour d'entraînement (2) disposé dans une enceinte de broyage (3) pourvue de parois criblantes (4 et 5) en partie inférieure et en partie supérieure et par un dispositif d'alimentation (6) à tambours écraseurs (7, 8), caractérisé en ce qu'il présente une alimentation centrale supérieure (12), en ce qu'il est pourvu, en outre, de deux couvercles (9) montés pivotants sur le châssis (10) du broyeur et délimitant, du côté opposé à leur axe d'articulation (11), l'entrée d'alimentation centrale (12) du broyeur, en ce que le tambour (2) d'entrainement des marteaux (1) est entraîné dans les deux sens de rotation, et en ce que le dispositif d'alimentation (6) à tambours écraseurs (7, 8) est monté à pivotement sur l'un des couvercles pivotants (9) ou sur le châssis inférieur du broyeur, de manière déplaçable dans l'espace délimité entre les couvercles (9).
