Abstract (en)
In a flash lamp having a cathode consisting of a base body (2) and a sintered body (4), the aim is to achieve a long service life by reducing the evaporation of the glass tube (1) from inside and guiding the arc (6) at a safe distance from the inside of the glass tube (1). The sintered body (4) is located in a depression (3) on the end face of the base body (2). Said sintered body is expediently surrounded by an annular rim (5) of the base body (2). The floor of the depression is constructed conically in order to achieve a good transfer of heat. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei einer Blitzlampe mit einer Kathode aus einem Grundkörper (2) und einem Sinterkörper (4) soll eine hohe Lebensdauer durch Verringerung der Bedampfung des Glasrohres (1) von innen und eine Führung des Lichtbogens (6) in sicherer Entfernung von der Innenseite des Glasrohres (1) erreicht werden. Der Sinterkörper (4) liegt in einer Vertiefung (3) an der Stirnseite des Grundkörpers (2). Er wird zweckmäßigerweise von einem ringförmigen Rand (5) des Grundkörpers (2) umfaßt. Der Boden der Vertiefung ist zur Erzielung eines guten Wärmeüberganges kegelförmig ausgebildet.
