In a process for the hydrogenation of organochlorine compounds, such as of chlorine-contaminated mineral oils or chlorine-containing carbon-derived substances and in particular of waste substances, in which the chlorine obtained as hydrogen chloride is neutralised, precipitation of neutralisation products and blockage of components of the hydrogenation plant by neutralisation products is suppressed in that the neutralising agent is liquid under the reaction conditions or is soluble in oil, in particular homogeneously, or is present, in particular applied, on, in particular, a large-pore support material.

Bei einem Verfahren zur Hydrierung von Organochlorverbindungen, wie von chlor-kontaminierten Mineralölen oder chlorhaltigen kohlenstoffstämmigen Stoffen und insbesondere von Abfallstoffen, bei dem das als Chlorwasserstoff anfallende Chlor neutralisiert wird, wird ein Ausfallen von Neutralisationsprodukten und ein Verstopfen von Bauteilen der Hydrieranlage durch Neutralisationsprodukte dadurch unterbunden, daß das Neutralisationsmittel unter Reaktionsbedingungen flüssig ist oder in Öl, insbesondere homogen, löslich ist oder auf einem, insbesondere großporigen, Trägermaterial vohanden, insbesondere aufgetragen ist.
