[origin: EP0371260A2] The hydrostatic drive for the fan (11) of an internal-combustion engine has a gear motor (7), the speed of which can be regulated by the pressure, predetermined by a thermostatic valve (15), on a sealing plate (36) resting essentially against the side faces of its gears and able to be subjected to pressure. When the cooling fluid is at low temperature, the speed of the gear motor is low and, as the speed rises, it increases constantly up to the maximum speed due to increasing closure of the thermostatic valve. <IMAGE>
