Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH02189878A] PURPOSE: To prevent possible damage to a conductor by eliminating the insulation of a flat conductor at the end, fixing a contact member to the portion of the flat conductor, encircled by an insulating material, with its insertion pawl and consecutively joining the end to the web of the contact member. CONSTITUTION: The insulation of a flat conductor 5 is eliminated at the end. Then, a contact member 1 is fixed to the flat conductor 5 with its insertion pawl 2. The pawl 2 is fixed so as to pass through the insulation portion of the flat conductor. At this time, the end of the pawl 2 can be deformed until it contacts the flat conductor 5 or it ranges to the surface without passing therethrough. The end protruded from the insulation portion of the flat conductor 5 is located on the web 4 of the contact member 1. The end can be brazed or welded to the web 4 at the connection.
