Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0371321A1] A fluid accumulator is proposed in which a fluid may be applied via a fluidic connection (11) to a pressure chamber formed by a cylinder (10) and a piston (15), the pressure chamber having at least one wall that can be moved against a supporting force and is constructed as a piston. In order to generate the supporting force, an elastic body (22) moulded from wire material is provided, the wire material of which is knitted and/or corrugated and/or rolled and/or woven and/or intertwined. Such an accumulator is non-ageing and thermostable, and has a long service life and high overload capability. In addition, the elastic body generates frictional attenuation, which is advantageously apparent in the case of pressure peaks and pulsations. <IMAGE>
