The invention relates to a comminuting apparatus, in particular for elongated objects that can be conveyed through a channel. The breaking up of the objects must be done such that, on the one hand, the process of conveyance is not disturbed or only slightly disturbed and, on the other hand, the separated parts of the objects do not block the channel. In accordance with the invention, a blade is provided which is arranged in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the channel and can be introduced into the channel, in order to subdivide the objects. The invention is capable in particular of being used to break up edge strips of a packaging foil. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Zerkleinerungsvorrichtung, insbesondere für längliche, durch einen Kanal (1) förderbare Gegenstände. Die Zerteilung der Gegenstände muß so erfolgen, daß zum einen der Fördervorgang nicht oder nur unwesentlich gestört wird und zum anderen die abgetrennten Teile der Gegenstände den Kanal (1) nicht verstopfen. Erfindungsgemäß ist ein Messer (2) vorgesehen, welches in einer Ebene senkrecht zur Längsachse des Kanals (1) angeordnet und in den Kanal (1) einbringbar ist, um die Gegenstände zu unterteilen. Die Erfindung ist insbesondere zur Zerteilung von Randstreifen einer Verpackungsfolie verwendbar.
