The invention relates to a cutting bed for an ultrahigh-pressure fluid-jet cutting installation in which the jet-energy-absorbing and sound-absorbing layer inside the cutting bed is formed by a granulated material which is enclosed in individual cages, and a number of cages covering the inner surface of the cutting bed are arranged side by side. In a development of the invention, the individual cages can be connected to one another in such a way that they form an endless bearing surface for the material to be cut, which bearing surface rotates inside the cutting bed. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schneidtisch (8) für eine Höchstdruckfluidstrahl-Schneidanlage, bei der die strahlenergie- und schallabsorbierende Schicht innerhalb des Schneidtisches (8) durch ein Granulat (1) gebildet wird, das in einzelnen Käfigen (16) eingeschlossen ist und eine die Innenfläche des Schneidtisches (8) bedeckende Anzahl von Käfigen (16) nebeneinander angeordnet ist. In einer Fortbildung der Erfindung können die einzelnen Käfige (16) so miteinander verbunden werden, daß sie eine endlose Schneidgutauflage bilden, die innerhalb des Schneidtisches (8) umläuft.
