The invention relates to an electrical circuit breaker, in particular a main automatic circuit breaker for selective disconnection of individually fused load circuits, having a main contact point (14) and a subsidiary contact point connected in parallel thereto as well as a main switching device (11) having a latching point (54) for actuating the main contact point (14) and the subsidiary contact point. An additionally provided selective switching device (10) which cooperates with a delay device (12) which responds when an overload occurs and triggers the selective switching device (10) is operatively connected to the main switching device (11). Furthermore, there is an impact armature (60) provided which knocks the main contact point (14) open when an overload occurs, and a retaining device (16) which serves for temporarily holding open the main contact point (14) and to this end cooperates with the selective switching device (10). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen elektrischen Selbstschalter, insbesondere einen Hauptsicherungsautomaten zur selektiven Unterbrechung einzeln abgesicherter Verbraucherstromkreise, mit einer Hauptkontaktstelle (14) und einer hierzu parallel geschalteten Nebenkontaktstelle sowie mit einem Hauptschaltwerk (11) mit einer Verklinkungsstelle (54) zur Betätigung der Hauptkontaktstelle (14) und der Nebenkontaktstelle. Ein zusätzlich vorgesehenes Selektivschaltwerk (10), welches mit einer Verzögerungseinrichtung (12) zusammenarbeitet, welche bei Auftreten eines Überstromes anspricht und das Selektivschaltwerk (10) beaufschlagt, steht in Wirkverbindung mit dem Hauptschaltwerk (11). Ferner ist ein Schlaganker (60) vorgesehen, der bei Auftreten eines Überstroms die Hauptkontaktstelle (14) aufschlägt, und eine Haltevorrichtung (16), die zur vorübergehenden Offenhaltung der Hauptkontaktstelle (14) dient und hierzu mit dem Selektivschaltwerk (10) zusammenarbeitet.
