[origin: EP0371922A1] The fabric transport claw (17) of the sewing machine is equipped with a spring wire (21) bent at (22) and passing through a hole of a block (23). When the claw (17) is in the high position, the block (23) comes up against the plate (18), thus lowering the end (24) of the wire (21) in order to exert tension on the lower thread (8) of the stitched seam.
