The invention relates to the manufacture of nonwoven textiles by needle-punching, using a card (1) with comb (2), a web-spreader (6) which deposits the web of textile fibres, and one or more needling devices. <??>Means are provided by which the weight per unit area of the web supplied by the card (1) is constantly changed according to a periodic pattern by varying the speed of the exit comb (2), so as to achieve, at the exit of the superposition machine (6), a web wherein the weight per surface area varies over its width, so as to counteract the non- uniformities in the distribution of the weight per unit area caused by the needling devices or consolidation machinery. <IMAGE>

L'invention se rapporte à la fabrication de textiles non-tissés par aiguilletage à partir d'une carde (1) avec peigneur (2), un blamire ou étaleur-nappeur (6) déposant le voile de fibres textiles, et une ou plusieurs aiguilleteuses. On prévoit des moyens par lesquels le poids surfacique du voile délivré par la carde (1) est modifié de façon permanente suivant une loi périodique, par action sur la vitesse du peigneur de sortie (2), de manière à obtenir à la sortie de la machine de superposition (6) une nappe de poids surfacique variable sur sa largeur, de façon à contrecarrer les déformations de répartition du poids surfacique créées par les aiguilleteuses ou machines de consolidation.
