[origin: WO8912122A1] In a nozzle control for an air loom, the weft thread is inserted by one or more main nozzles (13, 14) and the yarn is advanced in the air insertion channel (3) through relay nozzles (4) arranged one behind the other on the reed. Groups of said relay nozzles are actuated pulsewise in sequence in such a way that the thread tip region is seized by the air stream and the thread is pulled through the air insertion channel. The aim is to improve the actuation of the relay nozzles of an air loom to ensure high-quality processing of very different yarns in consecutive operations. To this end, the relay nozzles are actuated in groups in a manner known per se and the pulse length of the actuation is regulated in function of the air efficiency of the yarn being processed.
