Abstract (en)
A fluorescent lamp for large size color image display has a rectangle gas-tight enclosure (1) and a filament electrode container (4), which are connected through connection holes (86a, 86b, 86c, 87a, 87b, 87c, ...) at a central part of the rear wall (19) of the former, two vertical partitions (5, 5) and one horizontal partition (5 min ) being provided to divide the inside space of the rectangle enclosure (1) into a plurality of, for instance, six rectangle compartments (6a, 6b, 6c, 7a, 7b, 7c) containing respective connection holes therein and each having a phosphor layer of primary color on the inside wall and an anode (14/15) at the far end part from the respective connection hole and constituting a discharge path each between said filament electrode (9) and the resepctive anode (14a, 14b, 14c, 15a, 15b, 15c).
