Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0372287A2] A device for transporting a preferably multilayered web of thermoplastic material, comprising a pair of transport rollers delimiting a conveying nip, of which each roller is provided with annular grooves, and comprising two stripping rakes, which are fastened in the frame and the prongs of which engage in the annular grooves and at least one of which is movably mounted and actuates a switch shutting down the roller drive whenever the web moves this stripping rake out of its normal position due to a compression or holding-up, is to be further developed in such a way that it already leads to an actuation of the switch whenever compressions of only a slight extent occur in the web. This object is achieved in that the stripping rake (11, 7; 12, 8) is movably guided in the direction of transport of the web (9). The stripping rake actuating the switch can be moved already with very much less force if the said rake is not swivelled but is displaced in the direction of transport of the web. The device according to the invention responds in an advantageous way much more sensitively to compressions of the web than previously known devices. <IMAGE>
