[origin: EP0372783A1] The disclosed support sheet for photographic printing paper comprises a substrate sheet and front and back surface coating layers formed on the two surfaces of the substrate sheet and each composed of a thermoplastic, water-proof resinous material, and is characterized in that at least one of the front and back surface coating layers has a number of fine crater-shaped concavities adjoining each other through ridgeline-shaped convexities.
