[origin: EP0373009A1] The present invention relates to a boot for alpine skiing or for walking equipped with an energy source (11) supplying an energy- consumption device such as a heating device (1) and a device (16) controlling an element (13) for supplying the energy-consumption device, connected between the energy source and the consumption device (1). This boot is characterised in that it comprises means (32, 34, 35) detecting the presence of a foot inside the boot so as to permit the energy-supply element (13) to come on only when the boot is being worn, and to cause this supply element (13) to turn off automatically as soon as the boot is taken off. <IMAGE>
