[origin: JPH03114406A] PURPOSE: To enhance an efficient grip of hair and to protect the skin perfectly by arranging protecting blades on the plane perpendicular to the axis of a rotating drum and distributing them over the full length of the drum so that a virtual protective column is formed on the periphery of a depilatory roller formed by gripping jaws. CONSTITUTION: A pair of protecting blades are arranged between consecutive two pairs of gripping jaws 8a and 8b. A disk formed by a blade 12 is disposed so as to be positioned facing a dent existing between two rows of the ripping jaws 8a, 8b. This type blades are arranged over the entire length of the depilatory roller in a state so as to touch the skin, and form a virtual column around the depilatory roller so as to prevent the skin from getting into the depilatory roller. Consequently, while the blade is rotating, the gripping blades 8a, 8b are prevented from causing dangers such as pinching or injuring the skin.

Pour l'arrachage des poils à éliminer, cet appareil comporte un tambour rotatif (6) portant une ou plusieurs rangées d'organes de pincement (8a, 8b) disposées en saillie sur le pourtour de ce tambour et s'étendant parallèlement à l'axe de celui-ci. Dans, ou en regard, des intervalles en retrait existant à la périphérie de ce tambour entre les différentes rangées d'organes de pincement (8a, 8b), il est prévu des lames (12) de protection de la peau, présentant un contour externe circulaire dont le centre coïncide avec l'axe du tambour rotatif (6). Ces lames sont disposées dans des plans perpendiculaires à l'axe du tambour rotatif et réparties sur toute la longueur de celui-ci, de façon à constituer une sorte de cylindre virtuel de protection à la périphérie du rouleau d'épilation formé par ce tambour rotatif et les mâchoires de pincement portées par celui-ci. Cet appareil est destiné à être tneu à la main pour être déplacé contre la peau afin de procéder à l'élimination des poils superflus.
