[origin: EP0373088A1] - The invention relates to an adjusting device for supports carrying floor slabs or the like. - The subject of the invention is an adjusting device for supports carrying floor slabs or the like (17), of the type comprising a base (1), an element (6) carried by the base and adjustable in terms of height by being screwed onto the base, and a head plate (13, 13') resting on the said element (6) and supporting the floor slabs (17) in their corners, the said element (6) being provided with a means ensuring its rotation on the base with the aid of an appropriate tool capable of being inserted into the gap existing between the floor slabs placed on the said head plate (13,13'), the latter comprising, in its central zone, a passage (14) for the introduction of the said tool, characterised in that the said means is a vertical groove (11) of rectangular section, a few millimetres wide and a few centimetres long, the vertical axis of which coincides with that of the said element (6), the said groove being arranged in a part of the element connected by a web (10) to the join of the upper circular rim of the said element with an annular disc (7) the upper face of which receives the head plate (13,13'), the bottom of the groove (11) being situated in a zone at substantially half the height of the element (6). - Application in particular to supports carrying floor slabs of surfaces for people to move about on. <IMAGE>
