[origin: US5042717A] Fastening strap composed of a rod having a vertical rectilinear part (20) and a curved part which forms a spring and the end (10) of which grips the flange (25) of the rail to be fastened, after being tensioned as a result of the rotation of the strap above a ramp (30), the lower end of the rectilinear part being equipped with a heel (2) catching on a retaining surface (36) in the tie. The strap has an intermediate bearing point (6) which, during the rotation of the strap, bears on an abutment (38) or on a bearing surface of a metal sole plate. This intermediate bearing point ensures the stability of the strap during its rotation and in its tensioned position and, if an abutment is used, keeps this abutment in place.

Bride de fixation constituée d'une tige présentant une partie rectiligne verticale (20) et une partie courbe formant ressort et dont l'extrémité (10) vient pincer le patin (25) du rail à fixer après avoir été tendue par rotation de la bride au-dessus d'une rampe (30), l'extrémité inférieure de la partie rectiligne étant munie d'un talon (2) venant s'accrocher sur une surface de retenue (36) dans la traverse. La bride présente un point d'appui intermédiaire (6) s'appuyant, lors de la rotation de la bride, sur une butée (38) ou sur une portée d'une selle métallique. Ce point d'appui intermédiaire assure la stabilité de la bride lors de sa rotation et dans sa position tendue et, dans le cas de l'utilisation d'une butée, maintient en place cette butée.
