[origin: JPH02251003A] PURPOSE: To avoid the preferential flow of steam which uniformly fills up the cross sections of polygonal frames and is to be superheated along the frames, by making at least two inclined side faces of the frames parallel to inclined parts constituted of pipes arranged at pitches. CONSTITUTION: Pipe bundle portions are housed in frames 3 and 4 having irregular hexagonal shapes and the frames 3 and 4 respectively have inclined side faces 11, 13, 15, and 17, and 12, 14, 16, and 18, and vertical side faces 19, 21, 20 and 22. The frames 3 and 4 also have lower and upper openings which enable steam to be superheated to pass through each pipe bundle portion. The inclined side faces of each frame are parallel to the portion constituted of pipes arranged in triangular pitches, with the outermost pipe row being separated from the other pipes by a fixed distance which realizes the maximum packing density of the pipes in the cross-section of the frame. This entirely prevents the preferential flow of the steam on the outside of the pipe bundles along the frames.
