Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0374385A2] This toe binding has a housing which is fixed to the ski and two angle levers which are rotatable about vertical axes and which bear with their longer lever arms against a ski boot to be inserted. The shorter lever arms are supported on a slide which is guided in the housing and stressed by a spring. Between the two angle levers, there is a vertical bolt which is mounted in the two prongs of the housing, which is forked in the region of its boot-side end, and on which a pivotable holding-down device for the sole is guided - possibly stressed by a compression spring. <??>In order, with this toe binding (1), to guarantee a reliable return of the holding-down device (13) for the sole into its central position, the invention envisages that the holding-down device (13) for the sole is held in its central position by means of a leaf or wire spring (14) which is bent in a U-shaped manner and serves as a return spring, that the crosspiece (14a) of the spring (14) is subdivided into two sections (14c and 14d) by means of an inward bend (14b) and that the spring (14) faces with its crosspiece (14a) towards the holding-down device (13) for the sole. <IMAGE>
