[origin: JPH02221421A] PURPOSE: To clean a sliver between a card outlet and a sliver holding part by guiding a sliver along a convex guiding face having perforations and generating a gas flow passing through the perforated guiding face. CONSTITUTION: A carded sliver 10 is wound on a guiding face composed of perforated cylinders 11.1-11.4 and the guided sliver is opened to loosen the dust in the sliver. A flow of a gas such as air is ejected from a gas ejection nozzle directed toward a deflection guide zone of the sliver on the cylinder and the flow is passed through the perforated guiding face from the inside outward to remove the loosened dirt and dust particles.

Ein Verfahren bzw. eine Vorrichtung zur Reinigung eines Kardenbandes während einer Bewegung desselben in seiner Längsrichtung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß das Kardenband (10) um mindestens eine konvex gekrümmte, Perforationen aufweisende Leitfläche (11) geführt wird, was eine Spreizung bzw. Auflockerung des Bandes herbeiführt, und daß ein Gasstrom, vorzugsweise ein Luftstrom, durch die perforierte Leitfläche hindurch erzeugt wird, um im aufgelockerten Band vorhandene lockere Verunreinigungen sowie Schmutz- und Staubteilchen zu entfernen vorzugsweise wird der aus dem Kardenband heraustretende Staub und Schmutzteilchen tragende Luftstrom abgesaugt.
