Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0374592A2] A plug socket (10) for a multipole plug connection for the electrical link-up of motor vehicle trailers has a socket housing (12) in which a contact carrier (30) carrying contacts (42) is received. The contacts (42) have a conductor connecting part (44), via which they are connected to an electrical conductor (46). They also have a sleeve part (42) for receiving contact pins of a plug. For simpler installation through narrow cable channels of motor vehicles, it is proposed to receive each contact (42) partially in a flexible, pliant, disc-shaped element in such a way that each contact (42), together with conductors (46) attached to it can be pulled off from the element (40), viewed in the direction from the conductor connecting part (44) to the sleeve part (52), but in the opposite direction is seated in a non-displaceable manner in the element (40). In this arrangement, the element, together with the contacts (42) partially received therein, is connected releasably to the contact carrier (30). <IMAGE>
