Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0374710A2] An ink rail inking device, having at least one chamber-type ink rail which can be set on a screened cylinder, comprises an ink chamber consisting of a U-shaped basic body, two side walls and at least one doctor blade which bends when set towards the side wall. In order to achieve wear-free lateral boundaries for the chamber-type ink rail when using printing inks having a dynamic viscosity of more than 1 dPas, each of the two side walls forms a gap of 0.1 to 3 mm with the screened cylinder in the operating position. The doctor blade is pressed in a sealing manner against the two side walls, the side walls below the end of the doctor blade facing the screened cylinder being provided with a sloping surface to form a wedge-shaped gap with the doctor blade. Arranged in front of the two lateral end faces of the doctor blade there is in each case a run-off plate extending in the direction towards an ink trough arranged below the chamber-type ink rail. <IMAGE>
