[origin: EP0374746A2] In an ammunition-feeding device for an automatic gun, a damping helical spring (5) is arranged coaxially in a hollow shaft (13) carrying a star wheel (14). The rotational prestress of the helical spring (5) is to be adjustable and settable. For this, a coupling bush (10) is arranged between a driving sleeve (7) and the hollow shaft (13). In its uncoupling position, the driving sleeve (7) is adjustable relative to the axis of rotation (D) in relation to the other driving sleeve (2) of the helical spring (5).
