[origin: EP0375502A1] This ignition coil is of the type comprising a high-voltage winding (12) the various winding sections (12c-12i) of which are distributed in several winding compartments (19) made in an insulating body (11), which compartments are disposed at distances from one another by an isolating compartment (28), the various sections of the high-voltage winding being mutually connected in series by the winding wire (12), the assembly being coated in an insulating envelope (30), characterised in that the secondary high-voltage assembly is impregnated with an adherent varnish, prior to the coating (30) of the said secondary assembly by overmoulding with plastic material. <IMAGE>
