[origin: EP0376002A1] Combing machines (1) with a plurality of combing devices and with a drawing-frame device (11) following the combing devices (5) and delivering the sliver (10) to a can press (23) are known. The sliver-measuring devices (12) likewise known in this respect and located at the exit of the combing machines, although performing a function of monitoring the sliver thickness, nevertheless do not result in a continuous combing process and afford no increase in quality. It is therefore proposed to equip the drawing-frame device located on the combing machine with a regulating device (27) for making the sliver uniform. <IMAGE>
