[origin: JPH02284724A] PURPOSE: To execute forming of sheet material with a deformable punch by placing a sheet blank on a support, under the action of an outer slide applying an upper blank holder on the peripheral portion of the sheet blank, and executing preforming with an elastic cusion and then final forming. CONSTITUTION: On a support in which peripheral part forms a lower blank holder 2 and central part constitutes a die 3, a sheet blank 20 to be formed is placed. Under the action of an outer slide 21, on the peripheral portion of the sheet blank 20 an upper peripheral blank holder 9 is applied, and after that by applying punch under the action of a ram 22, pressing of the sheet blank 20 is performed with a cusion made of elastic material.
