[origin: EP0377125A1] The invention relates to a water jet pump for absorbing and precipitating dust-laden gases from a vessel, with a pump pipe, on one end of which an injector pipe with an injector nozzle is arranged for injecting a jet of water into the pump pipe so that a partial vacuum area is produced on the rear side of the water jet in the pump pipe, and with a suction aperture which in the partial vacuum area opens into the pump pipe. In order to create a water jet pump of this type so that, although of simple construction, it affords a high suction capacity, the invention proposes that the injector nozzle (4) should have a mounting plate (11) with a bore (12) reducing the diameter (D1) of the injector pipe (3), and that on the downstream side (11a) of the mounting plate a pin (14) encloses ...[lacuna] by means of narrow fillets (13a, 13b) with a cone point (15) pointing to the bore (12). <IMAGE>
