Abstract (en)
To protect security paper and the information contained thereon against unauthorised reproduction in a copying device, the security paper is provided with light-deflecting structures which reflect the light, applied to the document during the copying operation, into the environment at a defined angle in such a way that they occur at a point on the photoconductive drum, at which normally information is contained at another point on the security document. Due to this bloom, at least some of the information recorded on the security document is not reproduced on the copy. The copy is thus recognisable as such.

Zum Schutz von Sicherheitspapier und den darauf aufgebrachten Informationen gegen unerlaubte Reproduktion in einer Kopiervorrichtung wird das Sicherheitspapier mit lichtablenkenden Strukturen versehen, die das beim Kopiervorgang auf das Dokument einfallende Licht unter einem definierten Raumwinkel in der Weise in die Umgebung abstrahlen, daß sie an einer Stelle der fotoleitfähigen Trommel fallen, in der normalerweise Informationen an einer anderen Stelle des Sicherheitsdokuments enthalten sind. Durch diese Überstrahlung werden zumindest Teile der auf dem Sicherheitsdokument aufgezeichneten Informationen auf der Kopie nicht wiedergegeben. Die Kopie ist damit als solche erkennbar.
