[origin: EP0377219A1] Device for removing dents from the rims of metal kegs, a dent- removal device (7) connected to a tension-drive device being arranged, on a machine frame (1) provided with keg-clamping devices (4, 5), at the level of the keg rim (10) of a metal keg from which dents are to be removed. The dent-removal device comprises a crank (12) and a coupler (13) which is connected in articulated fashion to the latter and a free end of which is designed as a claw (14) corresponding to the bead ring (17) of the keg rim (10), such that the crank (12), coupler (13) and the dented keg rim (10) form a crank and rocker linkage in which the keg rim (10) occupies its normal position in the inner dead centre position of the crank and rocker linkage and the articulation points (11, 18) of the crank (12) lie in the plane of the bead ring (17) or parallel to and below it. <IMAGE>
