[origin: JPH02215580A] PURPOSE: To impart lightfastness by employing a color reactant system containing a specific electron donating compound, more than one kind of organic condensation compound capable of forming a chromogenic compound with the electron donating compound, and an electron withdrawing and color developing component. CONSTITUTION: A color reactant system contains an electron donating compound A represented by a formula, and two kinds of organic condensation compounds B capable of forming a chromogenic compound with the compound A, and an electron withdrawing and color developing component C. In the formula, Y1 and Y2 are substituents detachable as anions, Q1 is -O-, -S-, >N-R or >N-NH-R, Q2 is -CH2 -, -CO-, -CS- or -SO2 -, R is a hydrogen atom, C1 -C12 are alkyl, C5 -C10 , are cycloalkyl or aryl, ring A is an aromatic radical, and preferably B is an aromatic compound completing a conjugated double bond having an auxochrome, as required. An well known recording material, i.e., a color developer withdrawing electrons, is employed as the component C.
