Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH02229564A] PURPOSE: To lessen the disturbance of pump operation in the case a pump is operated in the presence of gas by forming a constricting portion to the shape of a cup slightly inclining in a side part adjacent to a body part and opening the sidewall of a sleeve from the end of this sleeve. CONSTITUTION: The gasket 3 exists in the air when the gasket is located in an opening 29. At this time, the gasket 3 rides on the bottom of the cup 18 within the body 11 of a pump cylinder 1. When the internal pressure of a pump chamber 19 rises, the gasket 3 is pressed to the cup 18 to ensure the sealing. When the pressure of the pump chamber 19 drops, the gasket is risen by suction force and at this time, the portion of the gasket 3 held by the tongue part 25 of the sleeve 2 stays nearly at the prescribed position. On the other hand, the gasket 3 of the other portion comes into contact with ribs 2b. Material, thus, passes a hole 13, passes round the edge 32 of the gasket 3 and enters the chamber 19 through the central hole 2a between the ribs 2b. A swelling 27 assures the opening of this flow passage even if the gasket 3 moves horizontally.
