In order to allow gases to escape from the contents, the part forming the handle strip (25) (20, 20', 20'') has also been designed to act as a pressure relief valve. The handle-strip/pressure-relief valve consists preferably of a plastic strip which is glued to the start portion (15) of the tear-open portion (10) and serves as a valve channel (24) via an opening (16, 27) in the container wall (4).
