[origin: EP0377765A1] For changing over the gauge of track sections, the use of concrete sleepers which can be adapted to several track gauges (1, 2...) is proposed. The adaptability to several track gauges is to be achieved in that the rail-bearing faces (5) of a rail track (3) which are required for the different track gauges (1, 2...) during gauge alterations are disposed on the surface of the sleeper (35) in a continuous flat displacement zone (11), and in that the rail-fastening devices (13/1, 13/2, 14/1, 14/2) required in the displacement zone (11) for track gauges (1, 2....) are built in flush with the concrete surface at the time of manufacture of the sleeper (35). <IMAGE>
