[origin: WO9007599A1] To repair thread breakage in a ring spinning machine, the thread to be joined is guided toward the drawing rollers along a predetermined path above the spindle. The thread is threaded through a guide eye and, if necessary, through an antiballooning ring. The preprogrammed movements of the thread are guided by a manipulating device fitted with servo shafts (172, 178, 188).
