[origin: EP0378030A1] A regulating device comprises a rotary button (58) intended for setting the prestress in a return spring (48). The button (58) offers a lateral surface equipped with striations (64) engaging, by insertion, with at least one mechanical locking pin (66, 68) which is depressed in order to render the device inviolable. The pins (66, 68) project prior to being depressed, and are moulded with the half- casting (13), remaining attached to the latter by breakable zones (70). Regulation operates continuously, and is independent of the position of immobilisation of the button (58) in rotation. Applications: factory regulation of an electromagnetic trip for a circuit-breaker. <IMAGE>
