A process for the photochemical stabilisation of undyed imitation leathers and imitation leathers to be dyed is described, which process is characterised in that the undyed imitation leather or the imitation leather to be dyed is treated in an aqueous liquor which contains a light stabiliser. An agent for carrying out the process is likewise described.

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur fotochemischen Stabilisierung von ungefärbten und zu färbenden Lederimitaten, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man das ungefärbte oder zu färbende Lederimitat in einer wässrigen Flotte behandelt, die ein Lichtschutzmittel enthält. Ebenfalls beschrieben ist ein Mittel zur Ausführung des Verfahrens.
