[origin: EP0378191A2] Method for assembling the component parts of a vacuum cleaner housing comprising a lower chassis (1) for receiving a dust box (4) and a motor-fan (2), a rear cap (5) carrying control devices, a fixed rear cover (9) and a movable front cover (11). According to the invention, the motor-fan (2) is held in place in the chassis (1) by the fixing of the cap (5) on the chassis, then the fixed cover (9) is placed on the cap (5) and held assembled there during the fixing of the dust box (4) to the chassis (1) by means of a locking device arranged between the box (4) and the fixed cover (9). This method applies to the mass production of household vacuum cleaners. <IMAGE>
