The ironing machine has a lower ironing board (6) fixedly arranged at one end of a stand (8). A horizontally and vertically movable upper ironing board (5) is fastened in alignment with the lower ironing board (6) to a free end of a boom (9). The other end of the boom (9) is connected to a carrier (7) which is arranged perpendicularly to this and the end of which is itself fastened to a linear guide system (1, 2) extending perpendicularly thereto and oriented horizontally in the bottom region of the stand (8). The linear guide system (1, 2) can be brought by means of a drive (not shown) into such a position that the two ironing boards (5, 6) are aligned with one another. An adjusting device (3) which is part of the carrier (7) brings about the vertical movement of the upper ironing board (5). <IMAGE>

Die Bügelmaschine weist eine an einem Ende eines Gestells (8) fest angeordnete Unterbügelplatte (6) auf. Eine in horizontaler und vertikaler Richtung bewegbare Oberbügelplatte (5) ist zur Unterbügelplatte (6) ausgerichtet an einem freien Ende eines Galgens (9) befestigt. Das andere Ende des Galgens (9) ist mit einem senkrecht dazu angeordneten Träger (7) verbunden, dessen Ende wiederum an einem senkrecht dazu verlaufenden linearen Führungssystem (1, 2) befestigt ist, das im Bodenbereich des Gestellts (8) horizontal ausgerichtet ist. Das lineare Führungssystem (1, 2) kann mittels eines nicht dargestellten Antriebs in eine derartige Position gebracht werden, daß die beiden Bügelplatten (5, 6) miteinander fluchten. Eine Verstelleinrichtung (3), die Teil des Trägers (7) ist, bewirkt die Vertikalbewegung der Oberbügelplatte (5).
